VENN Esports

VENN, a video game entertainment and news network, had to meet the demands of a large growing market in the gaming world- esports. The problem lied not just in creating a whole new brand identity, but creating one that worked within the larger VENN brand.

As Design Director, I led the creative vision and execution of the VENN Esports brand identity. The brand language was built from utilizing gaming equipment as the overall design motif but glamorizing it in a way that feels less flashy and more premium. While not immediately identifiable, these macro shots introduce a familiarity that resonates with the audience and builds trust. The layering of UI design elements and the pairing of outlined type contrasting with bold type treatments help create a strong graphic edge. The quick and snappy animation style is full of energy to speak to the fast-paced world of esports.
